جب کہ وہ جاننے سے قاصر تھی، یہ مذاق تھا یا خود پسندی کا سنجیدہ مظاہرہ۔
“ارے کہیں تم گونگی تو نہیں، مارے گئے یعنی ٹیکنیکل فالٹ بھی ہے۔”
اس کے “بھی” نے تو خوش نما کو جیسے آگ ہی لگادی چڑ کر بولی۔
“جی؟ کیا مطلب؟”
“چلو شکر ہے اتنا اطمینان تو ہوا کہ آواز سلامت ہے یعنی بالکل اندھیر نہیں پڑا۔ ”
وہ سکون کی سانس لیتے ہوئے کہنے لگا۔
“اور آواز…. آواز نہ صرف ہے، بلکہ خاصی مدھر اور دلنشین بھی ہے۔”
اس نے بلاشبہ پچھلے آدھ گھنٹے میں یہ پہلا جملہ اپنی نئی نویلی دلہن کی تعریف میں کہا تھا۔ وہ شرماتے ہوئے دل ہی دل میں مسرور ہو ہی رہی تھی کہ نصیب کا اگلا جملہ اسے سیدھا زمین پر پٹخ گیا۔
“اور کیوں نہ ہو ایسی شکل و صورت والی خواتین کی آوازیں ہمیشہ ہی خوبصورت ہوتی ہیں، شاید خدا اس طرح ہی ازالہ کر دیتا ہے۔”
