دل کانپ رہا تھا۔ اس کے ذہن میں فاتحہ کی بات جگمگائی۔ تاخیر تو وہ کر رہی تھی۔ اگر وہ کوشش کرے تو اللہ کیوں معاف نہیں کرے گا؟ وہ اٹھی، وضو کیا اور جائے نماز بچھا کر نماز کی نیت باندھی۔ اللہ کے حضور گڑگڑاتے ہوئے اس نے دل کی گہرائیوں سے توبہ کی۔ ہر گناہ پر ندامت، ہر کوتاہی پر پشیمانی، اور ہر کمزوری پر عاجزی کے آنسو اس کے چہرے سے گرتے رہے۔ وہ روتی رہی، مگر اس بار آنسو صرف درد کے نہیں،

امید اور رحمت کے بھی تھے۔ اس کے دل کی گہرائیوں میں ایک نئی روشنی جلنے لگی، ایک سکون، جو پہلے کبھی محسوس نہیں ہوا تھا۔ وہ جانتی تھی کہ ماضی کا بوجھ اب نہیں اٹھایا جا سکتا، مگر مستقبل کی سمت خود بدل سکتی ہے۔ اس نے اپنے دل میں عہد کیا کہ اب کبھی بھی غلط راستہ اختیار نہیں کرے گی، چاہے حالات کیسے بھی ہوں۔ وہ اپنے رب کی رحمت پر پورا بھروسہ رکھتی تھی، کیونکہ اللہ کی رحمت بے پایاں ہے

” جہاں پانی ہو، وہاں سبزہ اُگ ہی جاتا ہے۔۔۔ اسی طرح جب دل میں ندامت کا چشمہ پھوٹتا ہے، تو اللہ کی مغفرت کی بارش بھی برس جاتی ہے۔۔۔ ندامت انسان کو ٹوٹنے نہیں دیتی، بلکہ اللہ کے قریب کر دیتی ہے۔”
