سارہ کو زور کی ہنسی آئی جسے چھپانے کے لیے اس نے ذرا سارخ موڑا تھا۔ ولید گھر پر تھا اور یہ ماہ رخ کے لیے کوئی اچھا شگون نہیں تھا۔ اس سے پیشتر وہ سوال دوبارہ دہرائی اور ولید بھی جواب دہراتا ۔ ضحیٰ نے اسے جلدی سے عمر کی اسلام آباد روانگی کے بارے میں بتا دیا جسے سن کر اسے یقینا آج کی شام ضائع جانے کا افسوس ہوا تھا۔
“آپ کب آئیں؟” اس نے توجہ سارہ کی طرف کی
“ابھی کچھ ہی دن ہوئے ہیں۔“ سارہ نے متانت سے جواب دیا۔
” پہلے کبھی آپ کے متعلق کچھ نہیں سنا ؟”
“ہاں نے اچانک ہی آسمان سے ٹپکی ہیں۔۔” وولید کی زبان میں پھر کھجلی ہوئی جس پر سارہ نے اسے گھورا۔
“کیا کرتی ہیں آپ؟” ماہ رخ کو وقت تو بہرحال وقت گزانا تھا اس لیے سارہ سے بات چیت کا آغازکیا
“یہ پوچھے یہ کیا کچھ نہیں کرتیں۔ ” “کیا مطلب؟” ماہ سرخ کو حیرانی ہوئی۔
“مطلب یہ کہ عمر بھائی کے بعد یہ ہمارے خاندان کی دوسری قابل ترین ہستی ہیں۔ انٹر نیشنل ریلیشنز میں ماسٹرز کر رہی ہیں۔ اس کے علاوہ کچھ ویکلی میگزینز کے لیے آرٹیکل لکھتی ہیں۔ شاعری سے بھی دلچسپی ہے۔ اردو ادب تو ایک طرف روسی اور انگریزی ادب کو بھی اس کی گہرائیوں تک کھنگال چکی ہیں۔۔”
ولید کی زبان فرانے بھر رہی تھی اور سارہ عش کھانے کو بھی۔ انٹر نیشنل ریلیشنز میں ماسٹرز اور وہ ابھی تو اس کا بی اے کا رزلٹ بھی نہیں آیا تھا جس میں اس کی اکنامکس کی سپلی پکی تھی یہ اسے پہلے سے پتا اخبار اس نے کبھی توجہ سے پڑھا نہیں، کجا کسی میگزین کے لیے لکھنا۔ شاعری تو دور کی بات اسے نثر کی سمجھ بھی نہیں تھی اور ادب سے محض اتنا لگاؤ تھا کہ وہ بہت باادب تھی۔ وہ منہ کھولے ولید کو دیکھ رہی تھی کہ ثانیہ نے کہنی ماری۔
