“ڈیڈی۔۔۔! اگر چڑیا کو اُڑنے ہی جانا تھا تو پیڑ پر گھونسلا بنایا ہی کیوں؟”
سوئی جاگی آنکھیں جھپک کر نیند میں ڈوبی معصوم آواز کے ساتھ پانچ سالہ ظہرہ نے سوال کیا تھا۔ بختیار احمد بخار میں تپتی ظہرہ کو گود میں اٹھائے چکر کاٹتے سلانے کی کوشش کر رہے تھے۔ اس کے معصوم سوال پر ہنس کر رہ گئے۔۔
“تا کہ جب وہ اُڑ نا پائے تو اپنے گھونسلے میں لوٹ آئے۔” مندی مندی آنکھوں کے ساتھ اُس کو یہ جواب بیڈ پر دونوں پیر لٹکائے نیند میں ڈوبی زیبا نے دیا تھا۔ اُس سات سال کی بچی کی بڑی بڑی غلافی آنکھیں نہایت ہی پُرکشش تھیں۔ نیند میں ہونے کے باوجود وہ باپ کے بستر پر آنے کا انتظار کر رہی تھی۔
زیبا کے فٹ سے جواب دینے پر بختیار احمد کے ساتھ ساتھ سائرہ بیگم بھی ہنس پڑی تھیں۔ اُس وقت یہ بات سُنتے ہوئے انہیں اندازہ نہیں تھا کہ ایک دن ان کی چڑیا نے بھی لوٹ آنا تھا۔۔

“میں لوگوں کے لیے بوجھ بن گئی ہوں۔ مجھے ہر وقت کسی نا کسی کی ضرورت رہتی ہے۔” وہ یہ کہتے ہی منہ پر ہاتھ رکھے ہچکیوں سمیت رونے لگی تھی۔ نارسائی کا دکھ تھا، ایک عذاب تھا جو وہ جھیل رہی تھی۔ وہ جس کے پاس سب تھا اب کچھ نہیں رہا تھا۔ اس کی بات پر زیب النساء نے فوراً آگے بڑھتے اسے گلے لگا کر چوما تھا۔ بہن کی تکلیف اسے تکلیف دے رہی تھی ہمیشہ دیتی تھی۔
اس کے آنسوؤں کو اپنے ہاتھوں سے صاف کرتے بانو کی آنکھوں میں ان تمام لوگوں کے لیے نفرت تھی جو اس کی بہن کی خوشیوں کو گھن کی طرح کھا گئے تھے۔ اس کی گہری ہوتی سانسیں اور تپتا چہرہ اس بات کی گواہی تھا کہ وہ سب کچھ تہس نہس کردینا چاہتی تھی۔
بوّا نے اس کے ہاتھ پر دباؤ دیتے اسے آنکھوں سے تسلی دی ۔ یوں جیسے وہ کہہ رہی ہوں۔ صبر کرو، غصہ پی جاؤ، یہ وقت ہمیشہ نہیں رہے گا، زخم ہے مندمل ہو جائے گا، دل ہے پھر جڑ جائےگا۔۔یوں جیسے انہیں اپنی کہی بات پر کاملِ یقین ہو۔ اس کے بعد انہوں نے کتھئی آنکھوں والی اس معصوم پری پیکر کو دیکھا۔ جو پھوٹ پھوٹ کر رو رہی تھی۔
بوا کا دل کسی نے پسیجا تھا۔ انہوں نے ہمیشہ اسے تحمل اور بردباری سے سوچ سمجھ کر سمجھداری سے عمل کرتے دیکھا تھا۔ اس کا یوں بےاختیار ہونا اور ہوش گنوانا انہیں رلا رہا تھا۔ پھر اُس کے پاس بیٹھتے اس کا ہاتھ تھامتے، اُس کے سر پر ہاتھ پھیرتے شفقت سے کہنے لگیں۔
“اللہ نے لوگوں کو لوگوں کے لیے بنایا ہے۔۔ ۔ ضرورت تو ہمیں ہر وقت کسی نا کسی کی ہوتی ہے بیٹی۔ آپ کی ضرورت تو پھر وقتی ہے۔” اس کے پسینے سے بھیگے بالوں کو سمیٹتے بوا کا لہجہ نرم تھا۔اس نے بھیگی سرخ متورم آنکھوں سے نفی میں سر ہلایا ۔ وہ اب بھی اپنی حالت پر پھوٹ پھوٹ کر رو رہی تھی۔ محتاجی اس دنیا کا سب سے بڑا روگ ہے ۔ تکلیف سے بڑھ کر تکلیف بے بسی کی آخری حد۔ اس کی تکلیف جسم سے ہوتی اب روح چھلنی کر رہی تھی۔
