“وہ لوگ جو کچھ منگنی پر میرے لیے لائے تھے تم تو اتنا کچھ شادی پر بھی لانے کے قابل نہیں ہو۔”
“اوہ! تو تمہیں محبت نہیں زیور کپڑا چاہیے۔” خرم نے بھی زہر خند لہجے میں کہا۔

“اماں کہتی ہیں یہاں کوئی کسی سے محبت نہیں کرتا۔” اس کے کہنے پر خرم نے کہا۔

“یہ تمہاری اماں کا ذاتی تجربہ ہے۔ مجھے تم سے محبت ہے۔ اور جب تک زندہ ہوں دیکھ لینا تم ہی سے محبت کروں گا۔ جیسا چاہے ثبوت لے لو۔”
