“آپ کے گریبان تک اُنکے ہاتھ نہیں پُہنچے؟” اُسکے اگلے سوال پر جبار کا دِل ٹھہر گیا۔ وہ سوال حیران اور ششدر کر دینے والا تھا۔
“نہیں! وہ میرے گریبان تک کیوں آئے گی، زینب؟” زینب اپنے بھائی کی لاعلمی پر اُسے دیکھ کر رہ گئی۔
“کیونکہ وہ دوسری عورت ہیں جبار بھائی۔ اِیسی عورت جِسکا شوہر بارہا بھری محفل میں اُسکے مَن پسند اور دِل کی آمادگی ہونے کا ذکر کرتا رہا ہے۔ محبوب عورت کو یوں انجان اور بےخبر رکھنے پر اُنکے ہاتھ آپکے گریبان تک کیوں نہیں آئے؟ کوئی باز پُرس، کوئی سوال کیوں نہیں کیا؟” زینب کے چیخ کر کہے جانے پر قلبِ جبار کا قلب پوری قوت سے سُکڑ کر پھیلا۔
