“تمھیں برا نہ لگے تو کچھ پوچھوں؟” چائے کا خالی کپ میز پر دھری ٹرے میں رکھنے کے بعد اس نے بریرہ کو دیکھا۔
“جی۔” اس کی دھڑکنوں کی رفتار بڑھ گئی۔ بریرہ نے کپ کے کنارے پر انگلی پھیری۔
“مجھے بھی نہیں پتا۔” اس کے اندر اتنا کچھ تھا لیکن کوئی ایسا ساتھی سامع ملا ہی نہیں تھا جس سے وہ کہتی یا کوئی پوچھتا۔
“عام طور پر لڑکیاں اتنی جلدی اور گھر والوں کے بغیر اتنا بڑا فیصلہ نہیں کرتیں۔ تمھیں ڈر نہیں لگا کہ گھر والے کیا کہیں گے یا یقین تھا کہ وہ تمھارا ساتھ دیں گے؟”
“آپ کو یقین نہیں آئے گا مگر مجھے لوگ اور گھر والوں کا خیال آیا ہی نہیں یا یہ کہ مجھے کسی سے مشورہ کرنا چاہیے۔ شادی کے لیے ہاں کہتے ہوئے بھی میں نے امی سے کہا تھا آپ کو پسند ہیں، آپ کی مرضی ہے تو ہاں کہہ دیں ۔ وہ خود بھی ان باتوں پر اب غور کر رہی تھی کہ اب کسی نے اس سے پوچھا تھا ۔
“پھر؟”
“اس وقت کے دو ہی احساس مجھے یاد ہیں۔ پہلا تو یہ کہ بہت انسلٹ فیل ہوئی تھی اور پھر نوید کے انداز، اس کے اٹیٹوڈ پر شدید غصہ آیا تھا۔ اس کی ٹائمنگ، لہجہ اور توقع کہ اب میں کچھ کر ہی نہیں سکتی ان تینوں نے مجھ سے وہ فیصلہ سیکنڈز میں کروا لیا تھا۔ اس سے پہلے تو مجھے بھی علم نہیں تھا کہ میں ایسا کچھ کر ایسا کر سکتی ہوں، خود کو اتنی اہمیت دوں گی، کسی کا مجھے بے وقعت سمجھنا ایسا گراں گزرے گا۔ یہ سب میں نے بھی تب ہی جانا ، ہاں لیکن کہیں ذہن میں یہ ضرور تھا کہ ایسا ہی گھر والے بھی سوچیں گے انھیں بھی نوید کی بات بری ہی لگے گی۔ مجھے نوید کی بات سے جتنا بڑا جھٹکا لگا تھا، گھر والوں کے رویے سے بھی ویسا ہی صدمہ پہنچا تھا۔”
“سب کا اتنا پریشر تھا تب بھی خیال نہیں آیا کہ ری کنسیڈر کیا جائے؟”
“نہیں۔ مجھے سب نے اسپیشلی خالہ نے بہت سمجھایا کہ میں اس وقت غصے میں تھی ، ٹھنڈے دماغ سے سوچوں گی تو خود ہی غلطی کا احساس ہوگا مگر مجھے ایک پل کو بھی تامل نہیں ہوا کہ کہیں میں نے غلط تو نہیں کیا۔ میں زندگی میں کبھی بھی کسی معاملے میں اتنی کلیئر نہیں تھی جتنی اس بار۔ مجھے معلوم تھا مجھے کیا چاہیے۔ میں کمرے میں کچھ، دنیا کے سامنے کچھ، ایسے منافق کے ساتھ نہیں رہ سکتی تھی۔ قربانی اور کمپرومائیز بھی وہیں ہوتے ہیں جہاں باہمی احترام ہو یا کم از کم تعلق میں دونوں فریق ایک سطح پر ہوں۔ ساتھ چلنے والے کا پہلا ہی قدم آپ کے احساس پر ہو تو آگے بڑھنا اپنے ساتھ زیادتی ہے۔” بریرہ نے سر اٹھا کے اسے دیکھا۔
وہ بھی سب کی طرح یہ ہی سمجھتا رہا تھا کہ اس نے دوسری لڑکی کی وجہ سے رشتہ ختم کیا ہے۔ اسے شور شرابے اور ڈرامے کے بنا اس کی ثابت قدمی اچھی لگی تھی۔ پروین اسے سناتی تھیں کہ ادھر کیا چل رہا ہے۔ سب اسے واپس جانے کے لیے راضی کرنے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں لیکن اس کا ایک ہی جواب ہے کہ اس کی طرف سے یہ رشتہ ختم ہے۔ تب وہ بھی یہ آج کل کی لڑکیاں! کہا کرتی تھیں، جب تک اس میں انھیں سیدھی ، کام کاج میں طاق، خاموش طبع اور حالات کی ماری، بے بس لڑکی نظر نہیں آئی تھی۔
“جب پہلی بار امی نے تمھارا نام لیا تو حیرت ہوئی تھی کہ وہ ایسا کیسے سوچ رہی ہیں۔” ہریرہ نے سوچا کیا اسے بتائے وہ ان کی باتیں سن چکی تھی۔ وہ کہہ رہا تھا۔
“ان کے لیے تمھاری طلاق ہی ریزن تھا کہ انکار نہیں ہوگا اور میں اسی ریزن سے نہیں چاہتا تھا۔ آنسٹلی میں تمھیں نہیں جانتا تھا اور مجھے پہلے ہی مشکل زندگی میں مزید پیچیدگیاں نہیں چاہیے تھیں۔ اسے اچھا لگا کہ اس نے دل دکھانے والا سچ شاہستگی سے کہا۔ اس سے کہتے ہوئے اپنی بات بدلی نہیں تھی۔
“پھر کیوں مان گئے ؟”
“میرے پاس صرف اپنے بارے میں سوچنے کی لبرٹی نہیں تھی نہ میں ساری عمر یونہی گزار سکتا تھا۔ پھر عبد اللہ کا اس عمر میں ہی کسی کے ساتھ اٹیچڈ ہونا ایزی ہے۔ میں نے سوچا جتنی دیر کروں گا، جتنا سوچوں گا، جتنے آپشن ہوں گے، فیصلہ اتنا مشکل ہو گا اس لیے اگر تمھیں اعتراض نہیں تو کیا برا ہے ۔”
اس نے مہوش سے ابتدائی دنوں میں بہت دل نشین، حسین، کتابی باتیں کی تھیں۔ وہ سوچ کر جملے بناتا تھا، خوب صورت شاعرانہ سے الفاظ چنتا تھا لیکن ان باتوں میں احساس کم اور اسے خوش کرنے کی شعوری کوشش زیادہ ہوتی تھی ۔ شادی کے آغاز کو یادگار بنانے کی سعی ہوتی تھی۔ اسے وہ کرنا بھی بوجھ نہیں بلکہ اچھا لگتا تھا لیکن وہ اب وہی سب نہیں دہرا سکتا تھا کہ ان کے بے معنی اور کھوکھلے ہونے کو اس سے بڑا کوئی شاہد نہ تھا۔ اس لیے اب وہ دل سے، سچی باتیں ہی کر رہا تھا۔
“میں شادی کے دن تک بھی شیور نہیں تھا کہ یہ فیصلہ درست ہے یا نہیں اور ہم انسان ان باتوں میں کبھی شیور ہو بھی نہیں سکتے ہاں امید دعا کر سکتے ہیں ۔ جو میں نے بھی کی ۔” وہ ہلکا سا مسکرایا۔
“اور اب مجھے لگ رہا ہے میں نے ٹھیک فیصلہ کیا تھا۔”
“ابھی ایک ہفتہ ہی ہوا ہے۔” اس نے یاد دلایا۔
“تمھیں ٹھیک نہیں لگتا ؟”
“وہ تو مجھے آپ کو میسج کرتے وقت ہی پتا تھا۔” وہ پھر کپ کے کنارے پر ہاتھ پھیرنے لگی۔
“کیسے؟”
“آپ نے اپنی ضرورت واضح کرتے ہوئے مجھے بھی اہمیت دی تھی ۔” اس نے پھر رافع کو دیکھا۔
“آپ نے صرف اپنا نہیں سوچا میرے احساسات کو بھی قابل قدر جانتا تھا۔”
“وہ جو سوچ رہا تھا اس کے ہاتھ سے کپ لے کر میز پر رکھے گا اور اس کا ہاتھ تھام کے اسے وہاں سے اٹھائے گا، اسی پل ارادہ بدل دیا۔
“تھینک ہو۔” بریرا نے کہا اور وہ مسکرا دیا۔

بہت ہی زبردست کہانی ۔ ہیروئین کا کردار بہت ہی انسپائرین اور مضبوط رہا جیسے وہ اپنے لئے فیصلہ لیتی ہے اور پھر سب کی مخالفت کے باوجود اس پہ ڈٹی رہتی ہے۔ “سب جگہ سب نہیں ملتا اس لئے تمہیں کیا چاہیئے اور اس کے لئے تم میں اکیلے کہاں تک چلنے اور ڈٹے رہنے کا حوالہ ہے یہ جانو”۔ ہیرو کا کردار بھی اچھا تھا جیسے وہ ہیروئین کو فیصلہ کا اختیار دیتا ہے اور اس کے فیصلے کا احترام کرتا ہے ✨ ❤️۔
