اور سیدھا ریحان کے پاس آ گئی۔ اس کے ماتھے پر ہاتھ رکھا، جہاں سے خون نکلا ہوا تھا۔ ”تم ٹھیک ہو؟“ وہ لمحہ سب کے لیے ناقابلِ یقین تھا۔ زہرا نے ریحان کا ہاتھ پکڑ کر کہا ”ہم ایک دوسرے سے محبت کرتے ہیں۔“ زہرا کی آواز کانپ رہی تھی مگر مضبوط تھی، ”اس میں غلط کیا ہے؟“

”ہم کونسا گناہ کر رہے ہے ؟“ اس نے اپنے والد کی طرف دیکھا  ”آپ نے میرا رشتہ آفاق سے طے کرنے سے پہلے مجھ سے نہیں پوچھا، نہ مجھے کچھ معلوم تھا۔ اور میں۔۔۔اس رشتے کے لیے کبھی راضی نہیں ہوں گی۔“ اک دم سارے میں سناٹا چھا گیا۔ ”میں آپ کے آگے ہاتھ جوڑتی ہوں۔“ اس کی آنکھوں سے آنسو مسلسل بہہ رہے تھے۔  ”یہ بچپن کا طوق میرے گلے میں نہ ڈالیں اور ہماری خوشی کی خاطر مان جائے۔ “
