وہ پرسکون لہجے میں بولا تو علیحا نے اسے شکوہ کناں نگاہوں سے دیکھا مگر اس پل وہ علیحا کو بالکل نظر انداز کیے ہوئے تھا۔
“اور تم جب تمہارے ذہن میں یہ خرافات تب سے تھیں تو اتنے سال کیوں گنوا دیئے اگر اسی وقت تم شادی کر لیتے تو کم از کم آج تمہارے دو تین بچے تو ہوتے۔” امی سر ہاتھوں میں تھام کرتا سف اور دکھ سے بولیں۔ “امی پھر میں علیحا کو وہ خصوصی توجہ اور وقت نہیں دے پاتا جو اس کو میری ذات سے چاہیے تھا۔” شہروز کے جملے سن کر علیحا کا دل چاہا کہ سب کچھ تہس نہس کر دے پوری دنیا کو آگ لگا دے حتی کہ اپنے وجود کو بھی۔
“وہ تو یہ سمجھ رہی تھی کہ نکاح کے بندھن میں بندھ کر اس کے ساتھ ساتھ شہروز کے جذبات و احساسات بھی بدل گئے ہیں جس طرح وہ انہیں چاہنے لگی تھی اسی طرح شہروز نے بھی اسے اپنے دل میں جگہ دے ڈالی ہے مگر۔۔۔

پھر شہروز نے علیحا سے بات کرنے کی بہت کوشش کی مگر وہ اس کے ہاتھ نہیں آئی۔
ادھر امی نے اس پر دباؤ ڈالنا شروع کر دیا بلکہ چند تصویریں بھی انہوں نے شہروز کے آگے دھر دی تھیں۔
“امی خدا کے لیے پہلے مجھے یہ الجھن تو سلجھانے دیں۔ وہاں علیحا بی بی اڑیل گھوڑی کی طرح اینٹھی ہوئی ہیں اور یہاں آپ نے مجھے پریشرائز کیا ہوا ہے۔”
“یہ الجھنیں تم نے خود پالی ہیں اپنی زندگی کے دھاگوں کے ساتھ ساتھ تم نے علیحا کی بھی زندگی کو بری طرح سے الجھا دیا ہے۔ میں اب تمہاری مزید کوئی بھی بات نہیں مانوں گی بہت جلد تمہاری شادی کر دوں گی۔” امی نے یہ کہہ کر اس کی پریشانی کو از حد بڑھا دیا۔

“یہ تم کیا کہ رہے ہو شہروز! علیحا تم سے بارہ سال چھوٹی ہے۔ وہ شاید تمہیں شوہر کے روپ میں قبول نہ کر سکے اور پھر اس کے اندر اپنی عمر سے زیادہ بچپنا اور ناپختگی بھی ہے۔”
