“چائے۔” اس نے مقابل آکر فاصلے سے ٹرے اس کے آگے کی۔

وہ سر ہلا کر باہر نکل گئی۔ “تو تمھیں کیا لگا تھا وہ شکریہ کہیں گے یا یہ کہ اب سے چائے تم ہی لانا۔” اس نے لمحہ بھر کو خوش گمان ہوئے دل کو ڈپٹا۔ ویسے اسے ان باتوں کا برا بھی نہیں لگتا تھا، توقع ایسی سرد مہری کی ہی ہوتی تھی لیکن ساری سمجھداری اور حقیقت آشنائی کے بعد بھی یہ خوش گمان نہ ہو تو پھر دل کیسا!
سلجھے اور دھیمے مزاج کا اس کا یہ کزن بس اس کے ساتھ ہی یوں روکھا سا تھا۔

“پھر کیوں نیچے جانا ہے تمھیں؟” وہ ٹھہر اتو اسے بھی رکنا پڑا۔
“وہ ایسے ہی۔۔۔۔۔ میں تو ۔۔۔۔۔ نعماء کو تنگ کر رہی تھی۔” اس نے رکتے جھجھکتے ہوئے دھیمے سے کہا۔
“اب بار بار آنا جانا ہوگا تو کیا تمھیں پھر گرنے اور فریکچر کا ڈر ہے؟” وہ اسے دیکھ نہیں رہی تھی مگر اس کی نگاہوں اور آواز کی ہلکی سی شوخی، چہرے کا تبسم سب اس تک پہنچ رہا تھا۔
“میری ہڈیاں اتنی کمزور نہیں ہیں۔”
“اس معاملے میں میرا دل بہت کمزور ہے۔”
“کوئی سوچ بھی نہیں سکتا کہ آپ ایسے فلمی ڈائیلاگز بھی بول سکتے ہیں۔” اس نے سر اٹھا کر کہا۔ ابتدائی گھبراہٹ ختم ہو گئی تھی۔ ہلکی سی جھجھک تھی مگر اب وہ اپنے لیے اس کے اس رویے سے مالوف ہو رہی تھی۔
“یہ ڈائیلاگ نہیں سچ ہے، جتنے اس فریکچر پر تم نے آنسو بہائے تھے۔۔۔۔”

“وہ سب میرء وجہ سے تھے۔” “نہیں۔۔۔۔۔ ایسا تو نہیں کہا میں نے۔”
“وہ تم کبھی نہیں کہو گی۔” اس نے اس کا بایاں ہاتھ بھی اپنے ہاتھ میں لیا۔
“لیکن سچ یہ ہی ہے میں نے تمھیں بہت رلایا ہے، ویسے تم اب بدلے لے سکتی ہو۔”
“آپ اور روئیں۔۔۔ نا ممکن ہے۔” “میں نے آنسو نہیں بہائے مگر اس کا مطلب یہ نہیں ہے کہ رویا نہیں ہوں، میں تمھارے لیے بھی رویا ہوں تہنیت۔” مرد کہاں اتنی آسانی سے یہ اعتراف کرتا ہے مگر جب اور جس سے کر دے وہ لمحہ اس کی زندگی میں اس شخص کے تعین کا اعلان ہوتا ہے ، عزیز از جاں ، رگ جاں، متاع جاں یا اس سے بڑھ کر۔
“آپ باتیں ایسی کر رہے ہیں کہ میں پھر رونے لگوں گی۔” اس نے مسرت سے لبریز دل اور پانیوں سے بھری آنکھیں مشکل سے سنبھالیں۔
“سوری، میں نے یہ ریلائیز کرنے میں بہت وقت گنوایا کہ تمھیں دور کر کے اور چاہ کے بھی میں تمھارے علاوہ کسی اور کو زندگی میں شامل نہیں کر سکتا۔” آج تنو کی خوشی ناپنے والا کوئی پیمانہ نہیں تھا۔
“آپ ایسا کرتے بھی تو مجھے کوئی شکایت نہ ہوتی۔”
“تم نے خود کو کچھ زیادہ ہی اوور اسٹیمیٹ کر لیا تھا۔” وہ دھیرے سے ہنسا۔ جس رفتار سے گریہ زاری جاری تھی سیلاب آ جانا تھا۔
“چھوڑیں اب کیا بحث کرنا، آپ نے میرا حوصلہ دیکھنے کا موقع تو گنوادیا ہے۔” اس نے ناک چڑھا کر کہا۔
“اور مجھے اپنی اس نااہلی پر فخر ہے۔” دایاں ہاتھ اس کے ہاتھ سمیت سینے پر رکھ کر وہ ذرا سا جھکا۔ وہ ہنس پڑی۔
