خاموش صبح

صبح کے تقریباً پانچ بج رہے تھے۔ شہر ابھی پوری طرح جاگا نہیں تھا۔

گلیوں میں خاموشی تھی۔ کہیں دور کسی مسجد سے فجر کی اذان کی آواز بلند ہوئی تو ٹھنڈی ہوا کے ساتھ وہ آواز کھڑکی کے پردوں سے ٹکرا کر ایک بڑے سے گھر کے اندر پھیل گئی۔

گھر کی دوسری منزل پر ایک کمرے کی کھڑکی کے پاس ایک لڑکی کھڑی تھی۔

اس نے سیاہ عبایا پہن رکھا تھا۔ سر پر حجاب تھا اور چہرہ نقاب کے پیچھے چھپا ہوا تھا۔

صرف آنکھیں نظر آ رہی تھیں۔ وہ آنکھیں جن میں عمر سے کہیں زیادہ کہانیاں چھپی تھیں۔

اس کا نام روشنی تھا۔ عمر اٹھائیس سال تھی۔

لیکن اس وقت اسے دیکھنے والا شاید یہ اندازہ نہ لگا پاتا کہ کبھی یہی لڑکی ہر وقت ہنسنے والی، بے فکری سے سائیکل چلانے والی، بھائیوں سے لڑنے والی اور ہر بات پر سوال کرنے والی ہوا کرتی تھی۔

روشنی نے کھڑکی کا پردہ ذرا سا ہٹایا۔ باہر آسمان پر ہلکی نیلاہٹ نمودار ہو رہی تھی۔

اس نے بہت آہستہ کہا:

“یا اللہ… آج بھی مجھے اپنے قریب رکھنا۔”

چند لمحوں کے لیے وہ خاموش رہی۔ پھر اس کی نظر آئینے پر پڑی۔

آئینے میں ایک پردہ دار لڑکی کھڑی تھی۔

روشنی نے اپنے عکس کو دیکھا۔

اور اچانک اسے لگا…

یہ لڑکی وہ روشنی نہیں تھی جسے وہ برسوں پہلے جانتی تھی۔

وہ لڑکی جو کبھی ایسی نہیں تھی

کبھی روشنی کو پردہ بالکل پسند نہیں تھا۔ وہ بچپن سے ہی اپنے تینوں بھائیوں کے ساتھ پل کر بڑی ہوئی تھی۔
