“تم کون ہوتے ہو مجھے یہ سب کہنے والے اور میں جب تمہارے گھر میں رہ سکتی ہوں تو ان کے گھر کیوں نہیں؟”

“میرے گھر کی اور بات ہے؟” عمر کا لہجہ عجیب ہو گیا۔ پر وہ سر جھٹک کر پھر باہر دیکھنے لگی۔ چھوٹا سا شہر جس کی گلیاں ہی نہیں بازار بھی سوچکا تھا اور وہ اپنی بے وقوفی کی وجہ سے عمر کے ساتھ سڑکیں ناپ رہی تھی۔

“چچا اور چچی کی نرمی کا ناجائز فائدہ اٹھاتی ہو۔ مگر ایسی کوئی امید مجھ سے مت رکھنا۔ میں برداشت کرنے اور معاف کرنے والوں میں سے نہیں جو غلطی کرتا ہے اسے سزادے کر رہتا ہوں۔”

“تم۔۔۔!”اس تو سارے فیوز اڑ گئے۔ “حد میں رہو میرے باپ مت بنو۔”

“میں بنتا بھی نہیں چاہتا۔ ” عمر کا لہجہ تمسخرانہ تھا۔ وہ ہونٹ کاٹنے لگی۔

“کہوں گی میں ابو سے تمہیں کیوں بھیجا مجھے لینے کے لیے سارا راستہ مجھ سے بد تمیزی کرتا رہا۔” وہ دھمکی دے رہی تھی۔

وات۔۔؟” عمر کا پاؤں بریک پر جا پڑا ۔ جیسے حوریہ
کے فیوز اڑے تھے بالکل ویسے اس کے طبق روشن ہوئے تھے۔

“مطلب جانتی ہو اس جملے کا ؟” وہ اس کی طرف منہ کر کے غرایا۔ حوریہ ایک دم سہم گئی۔ “کر کے بتاؤں بد تمیزی کیا ہوتی ہے؟”

یہاں پر حوریہ کی روح فنا ہو گئی صورت حال کی نزاکت کا احساس اب جا کے ہوا۔ اندھیری رات سنسان جگہ سڑک پر کھڑی اکلوتی کار میں وہ اور عمر اس کی آنکھیں جھلملا گئیں اپنی بے بسی پر۔

“اور تمہیں میں خود لینے آیا ہوں۔ چاچا یا کسی نے نہیں بھیجا مجھے۔” اس کی سبز جھیلوں سے نظریں چراتا آرام سے کہتا وہ دوبارہ گاڑی چلانے لگا۔ حوریہ کے آنسو دیکھ کر اندازہ ہوا کچھ زیادہ کہہ گیا تھا وہ۔ “تم بھی نا بنا سوچے سمجھے چلی گئیں صبح کالج ہے۔ میرا پیریڈ ویسے بھی دو دنوں سے نہیں ہوا۔ کل بھی تم مس کر دیتیں تو سوچو نقصان ہوتا یا نہیں۔” وہ ابھی کافی تمیز سے نرم لہجے میں کہہ رہا تھا۔

مگر حوریہ کو پروا نہیں تھی ۔ وہ پلکیں جھپک جھپک کر آنسو پیتی رہی۔

“حور۔۔! آئس کریم کھائیں؟” شہر کا مشہور آئسکریم بار رستے میں آیا تو محض اس کا موڈ بدلنے کے لیے وہ بولا۔ حوریہ نے غصے سے منہ پھیرے رکھا گویا وہ بات کرنے کے موڈ میں بھی نہیں تھی۔

“میں صبح نہیں آؤں گی۔” پھر اچانک وہ زور دے کر بولی تھی۔

“کیوں؟”

“میری مرضی۔” عمر نے مسکراتی نگاہوں سے اسے دیکھا۔ وہ اپنی جون میں واپس آرہی تھی۔

“ٹھیک ہے نہ آؤ، میں نوٹس بورڈ پہ لگوا دوں گا کہ حوریہ عالمگیر نا صرف میری فرسٹ کزن ہے بلکہ میری۔۔۔” اتنا کہہ کر وہ اچانک چپ ہو گیا۔

” کیا میری ہیں آگے بولو۔” وہ آنکھوں میں سے شرارے بھرے اسے کاٹ کھانے کو دوڑی۔

عمر پہلے تو اسے عام نظروں سے دیکھتا رہا پھر مسکرا کر نفی میں سر ہلاتا بولا۔

“کچھ نہیں۔” کزن کے علاوہ وہ اس کی کیا تھی؟ یہ وہ تو جانتا تھا۔ حوریہ بھی جان جائے اس کے لیے امی اور آپاؤں کو ہوشیار کرنا ضروری تھا ۔ یعنی مشن امپاسیبل اسٹارٹ۔
