“میں نے تمہارا کچھ نہیں بگاڑا بلکہ تم نے ان لوگوں کا بگاڑا ہے جن کے کبھی پیسے تو مبھی بچے چھین کر بھاگ جاتی ہو۔ شرم تو ہے نہیں تم میں ۔ تھوڑی انسانیت ہی دکھا دو۔ کیا ملے گا ایک ماں سے ایک بچے کو جدا کر کے؟؟” حیدر کے ایک یک لفظ نے اس کے اندرتیر کی طرح گڑھ کر ایک نیا زخم دیا تھا۔ اس کے دل سے اُس لڑکی کی ہمدردی کا بخار ایک پل میں اترا تھا یاد تھا تو بس اپنا فرض کہ سامنے کھڑی لڑکی مجرم ہے۔
“یی۔۔ یہ میرا بچہ ہے ۔ مم میں نہیں دوں گی۔۔ ہرگز نہیں۔۔۔” وہ اٹک اٹک کر نفی میں سر ہلاتی بولی تھی ۔ چہرہ پیلا ہورہا تھا جبکہ سیاہ آنکھیں سرخی مائل اور رونے کو بے چین ۔
“مذاق اچھا کر لیتی ہو تم !!! میں نے خود تمہیں یہ بچہ اُس عورت سے چھینتے ہوئے دیکھا تھا۔۔۔۔ جانے کس حال میں ہوگی اس کی ماں یا شائد دادی۔۔۔ چھوڑو اسے میرے حوالے کرو۔۔” اس نے گن اس لڑکی کے سر پر رکھتے دوسرے ہاتھ سے بچے کو تھامنا چاہا تھا۔
” یہ میرا بچہ ہے۔۔۔ میں سچ بول رہی ہوں انسپکٹر۔۔۔ میں نے کسی سے نہیں چرایا۔۔۔” وہ اب زار و قطار رونے لگی جبکہ حید ر اس کے رونے پر ٹھٹھکا تھا۔ وہ جو اُس کے لیے دل میں سافٹ کارنر رکھتا تھا یک دم بے یقین ہوا تھا۔ مگر جب بولا تو لہجہ سپاٹ تھا۔
